Hi, I'm Sarah! Co-Founder & Director of KaSa Videos. Thanks so much for being here.

To be totally honest, I'm obsessed with editing and spend every day cutting away at something. I've been an assistant to Film Editors on top feature films for 10+ years & have been editing side projects for 15+ years!

Childhood
I realised I loved editing when I was 14 & we had to give a presentation at school. Instead of talking to my class, I was going to create my presentation on windows movie maker. I stayed up until 4am finessing it, which wasn't like me at all. The next day, I won 'best presentation' and I knew from that day that I wanted to tell stories through editing.

10 year old me obsessed with making videos on the family camcorder.
As the years passed, I spent my days making as many movies & sentimental videos as I could. Me & my best friend even created a 'leaver's video' at school which we sold for £1 at prom. She's on her way to being a producer now! I'm going to spare you the joy of putting those teen era images here...

Film Industry

When I turned 20, I got my first job as a runner in the film industry. My CV was decorated with film reels and camera clipart. Luckily, they found my enthusiasm charming and gave me a chance. That was my step in the door. Working for the the Editorial department on a Wachowski movie.

- Director Lana Wachowski (The Matrix)
- Warner Bros. Studios with Assistants, Danny Salas, Tino Brodt, Jens Baylis
- Abbey Road scoring session
- Lunch with Composer Michael Giacchino (Up / Rogue One / Coco)
- Abbey Road scoring session
I committed everything and was hired on job after job off the back of it. I had an adventure in LA, worked at Tim Burton's house, made egg sandwiches for Steven Spielberg, recorded lines with Sir Kenneth Branagh & after several years, I finally got some chances to showcase my editing! Some of my highlights include reels that made it to the Disney extras, Fox publicity & a Netflix wrap screening.

- On location in Blackpool on a Tim Burton movie
- Buggies on set at Warner Bros. for a Steven Spielberg movie
- Pinewood Cinema for the movie Cinderella
- 70mm projector for the film shoot of Murder on the Orient Express
- Heatwave on location in Belgium
- Delivering a screening tape to Paramount in Los Angeles
- Pinewood Studios Post House
- Private flight to Cornwall for a location shoot
It's been an incredible journey, especially upon reflection. But I still wanted to use my skills for personal, sentimental use. Personally, I believe there is nothing more valuable than memories and sometimes - pictures, videos and music can express love in a way that words cannot. Having spent 15+ years editing videos for friends & family, I want to extend this joy to others. People always ask me if I can edit their videos, so that's where I realised there was a gap in the market. Where could people go to have their videos made?

Co-Founder & best friend, Katie Nicholls
I was actually working on a Disney movie in 2020 with my friend Katie when we decided to pursue KaSa. We'd both work late editing videos on the side for free and say 'hey, wouldn't it be good if we could create an actual service for this?!' We didn't really think of it as a massive venture to begin with because we were already making the videos. So we started to draft name ideas and when we added Ka(tie) to Sa(rah) we came up with a word that sounded like the famous Spanish word for home! & voila. KaSa (Home) Videos was created; A place where you can bring all your memories to keep them safe forever.

It's a been a long and challenging journey building this idea & it was a lot more work than anticipated. Katie and I began by developing the brand together but Katie has since decided she wants to take a step back from full-time editing, so this has become something I've continued on my own.
I'm super grateful for the journey but it's been tricky trying to balance everything I do. Whilst friends have been buying houses & having children, I've been working full time on feature films, cutting & directing projects on the side, building KaSa and also opening a 2nd hand furniture company. For me, it has meant a lot of sacrifice but it's worth it now that everything is happening the way I dreamed it would.

- Assisting on Ron Howard's 13 Lives for Amazon
- Disney cutting room for Pinocchio
- Jack Margerison shooting with Editor, James D. Wilcox for publicity
- Editing my first short film for Sparky Tehnsuko featuring Bella Ramsey
- Buying an 85mm lens and exploring shooting
I'm extremely passionate about what I do and always have been. I hope it gives you peace of mind to know that I will do my best to make your perfect video. This page is more about me than about the videos, but you'll see from this website that my mission now is to revive home videos and zap them into the 21st century. I want you to continue making memories whilst I help you keep them safe. This service is created for those who treasure their memories in the same way as I do and want to look back on all their favourite moments forever.

I'm excited to be at this stage now where I'm able to share this journey with you all. To be totally transparent with my schedule, I'm still working on movies. I'm assiting full time on a Netflix feature film & I'm also directing my first feature documentary about a band from Uganda and their humanitarian mission.

- Beyond The Horizon - Documentary Film Poster

- The Ganda Boys - Dan Sewagudde & Denis Mugagga

This limits my time to edit within these next months but if the demand is there, I will be outsourcing other amazing editors from the industry to take on your videos. I hope to grow this venture with you all & I can't wait to hear the stories you have to tell.
